Methods in bioinformatics
Date: 2 March - 27 April 2022
As the ability to generate data has grown rapidly across life science research, so too has the development of bioinformatics methods to analyse and interpret it. Not only do different data types require different approaches (due to file formats, technologies used to generate them, and the biological context), but the same dataset can often be analysed in multiple ways depending on the research question. This webinar series provides an overview of standard bioinformatics methods used across various life science fields, from genomics to proteomics and image analysis. Each session focuses on a specific methodological area, offering insight into the tools, resources, and strategies used in the field. All webinars in the series have been recorded, and individual sessions are accessible through the list below. Each webinar can be viewed as standalone content, making it easy for learners to explore the topics most relevant to their interests. Slides are also provided. The content has also been repurposed into the curated collection Methods in Bioinformatics, for those who wish to follow a more structured learning pathway on this topic.
